This Mill is still in operation in Greenville SC and is now run by Jimmy Suber who took over the family business from his father Walter Suber. Walter still lives across the street from the mill at the age of 91. I had the privilege of meeting Walter one Saturday morning as he was walking to feed his horses in the pasture behind the mill. Subers mill has a good business going as they still grinds and sell to the public. In 1953 they added a new wheel to the mill with a gear shaft. Walter also told me that since the railroad came thru behind the mill that they now get there water from the railroad and not the creek.

Dedicated to collecting and preserving historic materials, this museum display a wide variety of artifacts, records, and materials that depict the history and heritage of the Greer area. Group tours available most days, depending upon available volunteer guides. Library for history & genealogical research; short historical documentaries for viewing. Open Friday & Saturday 10 am until 4 pm
